  • Drooghi have just received a shipment of JB Classics(retailing for £100) AND are offering 25% off selected lines in store. No indication whether this will spread to their website, but I wouldn't be surprised.
  • From Cardiff Underground: Launch party for MONEYSHOT's Dischandler mix CD at Off The Shelf, BSB, Windsor Place, this FRI 17 DEC. It's dope.
  • And Cardiff heads: don't forget to go to 'Gezelig' at Capsule Gallery tomorrow night.

  • Supreme's Alex Corporan earns a few brownie points
  • Shoeshimi is a new UK-based online trainer retailer. There are some very exciting times ahead.
  • Orchard Street have unveiled this rather odd video to commemorate their second Dunk.

And for shits and giggles, here's a picture of Jason Dill with a mullhawk.

  • Rap video time:

Something old. Something new. Something old & new.

  • BGHD has covered The Hideout's refurbishment.
  • epicly laterd
  • In the end, Casino retailed the Hufs for £110. Better, but not ideal. I thought the whole point of an increased number of SB accounts was to end the days of £150 Dunks...

  • It's the 35th Anniversary of the adidas Superstar (shelltoe to the unitiated) this year. There's a gang of special editions and collaborations. My personal favourite is the NBHD x adidas.

  • Are you on the lookout for cheap graphic design tees in time for Christmas? Check out Threadless.
  • Skateboarding Sucks! is back online.
  • This is a truly dope skate video from Finland. Worth watching for the soundtrack alone.
  • Those of you still looking for GTA:SA should check here for a list of the cheapest stockists. UK only.
  • Looks like those signed Gino FC samples are going to change hands again.
  • Trainer Spotter are making some outrageously good windrunner jackets. This is a personal favourite:

I'm not sure what to make of it all

Busy day today and I'm glued to the US election coverage.

  • Offbeat has made me a James Bond cartoon.

Expect to see more of his quality work very soon.

  • In return, Offbeat's Trisect crew have a night coming up in Leicester. Be there, or be elsewhere.

  • 1&1 are offering free .info domains for one year. Could this mean teejayess.info is on the horizon?
  • Amen have had a big delivery of PAM goodies (tees, jackets, caps, wallets, sweats and hoodys) and the Nike List tee in black/white. Pop in for a look and ask Glen how he got on in his golf tourney today.

  • I was reminded about megabus.com yesterday. Very useful if you want to travel around the UK on the cheap, as most fares are £1 each way. You will need to be an early riser and not averse to sitting on a double-decker bus for hours at a time.

Friday, October 29, 2004

It's Friday, it's not quite the weekend but it's so close you can smell it.

Here's two Lemmings games to help pass the time.
  • OG Lemmings (plays music, so turn down your speakers if you're at work)
  • Smartlings (like Lemmings, but Smart®er...)

Thursday, October 28, 2004

  • Akira the Don's The Drinking Song is very funny. But you already know that. Click here for the video. All together now, "Go home, take a piddle in the middle of your abode..."
  • Everyone knows that graffiti is cool. However, getting arrested isn't cool. Thank God for the Graffiti Creator.
  • Fans of student radio should check out Xpress Radio, Cardiff University's student radio station. Those of you in Cardiff should tune into 107.2FM from next Monday, for the two-week-long FM broadcast. If you're lucky, you'll be able to hear me guesting on one of my friends' shows. I'm not officially trained as an Xpress Radio broadcaster and so am often liable to swear on air.
  • Gareth, you may want some of these the next time you try to sneak into Bar Risa in trainers. I don't know if they're vomit-proof though.
  • Have you seen The Falling Man?

Wednesday, October 27, 2004

  • Drooghi have put their Hundreds stock on their site today. Tees are £30 and sweats are £65. Fast or last with this lot, as there is only a limited amount.
  • Beams have a very interesting collection of tees.
  • On a personal note, I'm still looking for this Supreme x Ramellzee cap. If anyone knows where I can get hold of one, please get in touch.
  • Sneakers; fresh Still Life is an exhibition of trainer related artwork taking place in Rotterdam from November 17th to December 5th. Participating artists include Dave White and The London Police. A copy of the press release.
  • Office has the Harris Tweed New Balance 576 in at £70. Support a traditional British industry and get some tidy trainers in the process.

  • Charity news: If you register with Club Olay, they will donate 50p to Breast Cancer Care. Join now.
  • I saw Fingathing at Cardiff Barfly last night. They're a quality act, making some really interesting music. I now have to write a review for them that I hope will include the sentence "Bass so low it will find anybody's Brown Note." You can't ask for much more than that.
  • eBay action: anyone looking for cheap electronic accessories should check out Cofy Store. They come with my highest recommendation.
  • A Fanboy James Bond film that features a bad guy called Mr Walken? You know it makes sense.
  • A brief history of Bond games.
  • Just as The Donald's British screen time comes to an end, Alan Sugar is heading up The Apprentice UK. It'll be interesting to see if he receives the same level of grovelling sycophancy from the contestants. The lack of a decent comb-over may be this show's downfall.

Friday, October 22, 2004

  • First mention today goes to the staff at JD Sports in Croydon. I've been looking to get another pair of Wildwoods and who can argue with these prices? (Thanks to Assault for the photo).
  • More GTA SA action. Nothing to do with me, I swear.
  • The New Balance MT580 Mad Hectic x Stussys are a favourite of mine. However, as with every other high profile trainer, fakes do exist. Here's a guide to detecting varients.
  • Are you finding that your GMail account is in the single figure percentage, but your hard drive is full to the brim? Use GMail as an extra drive.
  • Pointless eBay auction of the day: empty Nike SB boxes.

New shit!!!

.

Tuesday, October 19, 2004

Week one, day one.

  • It's the power of music. A crazy Dutch guy runs around town in time to a song with a bizarre title: Shitty bum
  • Swiss streetwear. Sounds like an oxymoron, but works well in practise. Check out the purple co.jp Vandals in the collection pictures: +41
  • James Bond Goofs and Nitpicks Guide? Blasphemy!
  • Roni Size is ending his tour in Cardiff on Thursday night. I'll be there, dancing badly and sweating.
  • Some people can be so cruel
